What we believe:
We believe that every individual has unique capabilities and interests and is entitled to participate in a meaningful life activity of their own choosing, including employment in all its varied forms. We further believe that every individual has the capability to actively pursue their own personal life goals, and is entitled to the opportunity to explore and learn the skills necessary to allow them to succeed in those activities.
We also believe that each individual's personal development does not adhere to any specific chronological timeline. For some adults, the end of their formal school years may signify readiness for activities beyond school, but for many, developmental needs are still very present throughout all of their adult lives. This can continue far beyond schools years and adults of any age can benefit from having these developmental needs addressed. It is our belief that everyone - whether transitioning from school or investigating possibilities later in life - is entitled to have those ongoing developmental needs properly served. These developmental needs require ongoing attention in conjunction with a focus on the new challenges facing them at any time in their lives.
